The New Stigma
In 2024, I recorded, edited and designed sound for The New Stigma, a podcast produced by Milk Crate Theatre. The podcast featured several of the company’s collaborative artists and mixed live storytelling with one-on-one discussions to explore their thoughts on mental health and the concept of stigma, as well as their lived experiences and creative processes.
All six episodes of the podcast can be heard here.
Inspections of a Sound
In 2022, I produced the pilot episode of a podcast for a final-year Media subject. The podcast, titled ‘Inspections of a Sound’, was intended to be a music analysis program that examined the common auditory elements (e.g. instrumentation, production) that are heard within a particular genre of music. The first episode explores the musical style known as “bedroom pop”, and features interviews with several Australian musicians. In 2023, this piece was selected to be featured in Salience, an online publication that showcases works produced by students from the University of Sydney’s School of Art, Communication and English.
The episode can be heard here.
A History of Mashups
In 2020, I produced a short-form podcast for an Audio Production class I took at university. This piece examined the history of musical mashups, and provided an overview of how the various techniques that are incorporated into this style (e.g. ‘borrowing’ musical material, splicing seperate audio pieces together) have developed over time.
The piece can be heard here.
