We Have Stolen Our Bodies From God
From 2024 to 2025, I took part in Shopfront Arts Co-op’s emerging artist residency program, ArtsLab. For this program, I composed a song cycle titled ‘We Have Stolen Our Bodies From God’, which I performed alongside six other musicians at the end of the residency period. The piece blended elements of folk and musical theatre with electronica and musique concrète to tell a spiritual, episodic narrative entirely through song.
The New Stigma
In 2024, I recorded, edited and designed sound for The New Stigma, a podcast produced by Milk Crate Theatre. The podcast featured several of the company’s collaborative artists and mixed live storytelling with one-on-one discussions to explore their thoughts on mental health and the concept of stigma, as well as their lived experiences and creative processes.
“Meet Hollywood’s Most Recognisable Background Actor”
In 2021, I interviewed Jesse Heiman, an actor best known for his background appearances in dozens of noteworthy Hollywood films and television shows. The interview was published by VICE in June of that year.
Bare Bones
In 2021, I composed music for the short film ‘Bare Bones’, directed and written by Yarno Rohling, which went on to be selected for the Canberra Short Film Festival. To complement the gothic love story told by the film, I weaved lavish, romantic string flourishes into an otherwise dark score, often utilising detuned instrumentation to further unsettle the audience.
